So I messed around and got lucky with the LT lottery this year. Back when I was 25lb's lighter and competitive I would do hill workouts in parking garages, but usually got the boot from security. Never really found a good spot though. Anybody have a suggestion for a parking garage with a decent grade?

I wanna do the downtown rumble (or whatever Waypastfast called it) that we did several years ago - we met downtown and did a bunch of garages and then down Buffalo Bayou up and down the bank. I rode from home. Got like 85 miles and 2,000' of climbing. Don't do it on a CX bike with WPF though. He haytes CX bikes.

if you want about 50 miles and 9000 feet of climbing do the buscher sp to bastrop sp park road 1 out and back 4 times.

it's 90 min. from Houston and the road had very little traffic.

i'll do it on my road bike with a 11-25 cassette just a couple sections where you have to "paper-boy" it up the short ubersteep section.

the whole road is just roller after roller after roller you can make it as hard or easy as you want depending on gear selection and enthusiasm.

if you want mileage with some decent rollers mixed in hit up the tour-de-pierre route in hempstead

Isn't that road in the park only one way? Do they still have the wide gapped cattle guards?

I'm with Mr B. $212 ticket while riding on the road in the parks? I was there maybe Sept/Oct and the road was still a 2 lane // 2-way road. I can't see that eve changing.

Some of the roads were blocked because of wash out. We went around the barricades and cruised up to bastrop and got picked up, hauled out and ticketed by a state police. We had to ride hwy 71 back to smithville to rocky hill.
