After two rides i dig it. Definitely different pushing SS gearing when you'd normally gear down, but it's also nice just riding without having to worry about anything but riding. I may do a race in the fall in the SS class and will likely do...

Built this up to have great gearing for road or gravel. 53/39 Dura Ace up front and XTR 11-40 in the back. Used a Tanpan from Wolf Tooth to adapt DA STI to XTR RD...works like a champ.

Running 28C slicks at the moment on Mavic Crossmax SL Mountain Wheels with 12/142 hub spacing...it is a beast!
