Anyone have a 54 or 56cm cx bike (preferably with disc brakes) they want to sell? Just looking for a trainer, nothing fancy.
Good luck, not many of those around. Had a couple friends looking for a while. If you wanna build a frame, I have some Specialized disc wheels, BB7 Road brakes and maybe even a pair of 10spd Sram Red shifters I could sell to help you get started.
Gah, I was afraid of that. Let me mull my options over... if I build one up (doubtful, but maybe), I'll get in touch with you about those parts. Thanks! Anyone here have any experience with bikesdirect? Some [on the surface] cheap options here: http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/cro ... 7AodESoArg Might also make the LBS rounds, so if anyone knows of an LBS that has discounted cx bikes in stock, let me know.
You saying LBS spurred my memory, Sugar Cycles has a used 2012 sz 54 Crux Comp Disc they were looking to get rid of at a decent price. This model: http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bikes/ ... uxcompdisc If you decide to check it out, let 'em know I sent you. I'd rather sell you my parts but this is a good deal too.
eBay is your friend you can get cyclocross stuff cheap right now... http://www.ebay.com/itm/271465970478?ss ... 1423.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/321373771527?ss ... 1423.l2649 I've picked up some sweet tubular wheels and tires just recently off eBay since nobody is looking

I'm also looking for a CX bike. I called on this one - its a 54cm for $900. It has a small chip in the top frame due to the handlebars swinging around. Worth it?
I thought it was a pretty good deal, if you can stomach the Shimano components (I'm a Sram man). Hard to find disc CX bikes that price, and though you can pick them up pretty cheap I definitely wouldn't recommend a canti bike anymore.
