With the highly successful beta test on the new dedi server, we have decided to jump ship from the budget hosting to what we know will run this site flawlessly. Not to say there may not be a hickup from time to time, but it will literally be night and day from what we have now. Between 3 of us (myself, d0n and Woooooooo), we have the first year covered, so there is no additional cost to the community the first year. Once that year is up and we are due to update our XF license, we'll put up a post to ask for some assistance. We will be getting a full credit back from the current hosting company, so that money is not for not, it will get us a 3 months with the dedi server. Thanks to those that persisted with the slowness, I realize it's frustrating for both sides when dealing with these types of issues, but if the end result is a solution that works for everyone, then well we all win. The site will go down for a bit when we make the move, but a post will be made to inform you guys that the transition is in process. Once it's initiated, it won't take long, it's simply moving the server from one host to another. It won't be like last time where I had to set everything up...the brunt of the work is complete, and of course as last time, everything will carry over.
Transfer is in progress. I'm making the backup now. Please do not post anymore until I made another update. Once hte backup is made, I'll take down the forums anyways, but just ntoe any post made after this one will most likely not make it.
Old hosting company defaulted the name servers when we canceled our hosting account. They have been pointed back to our current hosting company and should be resolving soon.
