In the process of chasing down GoDaddy's broken server, the following changes were made: - PHP language version changed to 5.4 on GoDaddy's administration page - phpBB software updated from 3.0.8 (2012) to 3.0.14 (2015) - Updated team logo graphic - At GoDaddy, changed SSH/FTP password for the enviroinks login (under FTP Users section) - backups made Plans - Install Tapatalk API - Install mobile style from http://www.artodia.com/phpbb-styles/mobile/ Researching: - Alternate hosting company as GoDaddy has a crappy rep and we are likely to experience something else in the future. Several suggestions from messages. - Alternate BB software. Xenforo has ability to import existing phpBB forum so we would actually not loose anything. It is $140 and then a bit each year for support if we want it. Less keen on this now that we have phpBB updated. phpBB is all over the place and actively maintained so probably gonna leave it alone.
I'd agree, no need to spend extra money if things are going fine with the current software. I do think an overhaul of the site would be a welcomed change and a 'breath of fresh air' for the community. Isn't there a new logo for the team?
Resetting mod privileges, but only until the new software is up and running. Much easier to carry over without any mods setup. If something fks up and we stick it out with phpbb, I can easily reinstate them.
