Are there any racers left here? I see JLP and N8 signed up... that's about it. Who else is coming out to play?
I'll be there. Been off the bike for 3 weeks with knee problems. Not sure how it'll go, but eff it, I'll roll the dice.
I doubt I'll be doing much, if any, sprint races in 2017... probably only DL and HSP. Just haven't been feeling the bug to race sprints these days.
I pre-reg'd. Remember to BYOB, all they have is Shiner and typically the left-over stuff that did not sell. At the marathon they had Shiner Cheer with hints of peaches and cinnamon... thanks but no thanks, I give them an "A" for effort. I'll have some O'Dells and one cold Budweiser for Dary.
I HATE HOLIDAY BEERS! I have two left over holiday carp in my fridge ... don't know where they came from... they're for emergencies... like , while I was sleeping, some secret government entity bricked over my doors and windows then cut my power trying to contain me. I might drink Christmas tree infused beer then. Maybe.
Oh, and this bad beer talk reminded me of one time I was at The Shady Tavern ( RIP ). They had something like Bud Light Lime or some limey beer, not Tequiza, that they paid me $1 for every one I drank. I walked out of there with $35. #sopro
oddly enough, I drank lots of that mich ultra cactus lime this past weekend while cutting and stacking wood. pretty good for yard beer.
Kind of... I've always liked the 6 hour format. I'm more just in the mood for something different. After doing about 25 sprint races over the past 3+ years I'm just looking for something different. I'm really looking forward to the HTFU and Castell Grind coming up.
Unfortunately i'm out of town this weekend and work travel will have me missing most if not all of the races this year (i'm around for the Austin one's but those are the only one's I really don't have interest in). Looks like HTFU and maybe the DL race if i'm in town. Kind of a bummer coming of a heavy year of racing but priorities have to shift the next 6 months for me. Good luck to everyone racing...have fun.
I'm looking forward to the SS Open class and having some fun at RHR again. I hate the UCI course, happy to get a crack at the full 16 miles again, but this time single and rigid...
