Last 7 days $8,870.46 Not a bad haul for unloading a bunch of stuff on eBay... Still have a bunch more shit to kick to the curb however will be listing starting at .99 just to get it gone. F.Y.I. when I say..." make me an offer " come back with something rational not what my starting price is... just say'n. Hope this public service announcement helps and clarify's things. Moar 2 Cum
do you understand the concept of an auction? Definition of auction 1: a sale of property to the highest bidder A "starting price" is just that I asked what was your best "offer" and you came back with my "starting price" that is not an offer. If I had only wanted $25 bucks I would of listed "buy it now @ $25" see the logic?
"Will you take 25$?" "Hmmm, no that's a little low. Can you do 40$?" "Oooo 40? How about I meet you in the middle at 32.50$?" "Dang 32.50? THey're like 89$ new! How about 37$?" "Yeah, I can do that! Where ya want to meet?" "How about the Fruit Loop. I'll be the drop-topped smart car backed into the spot." "Deal, see you there."
Seems like a reasonable conversation, but do you really think Sheldon Cooper could have that conversation?
Ebay charges you a 20% fee and you'll most likely have to ship them. I thought you posted on here to avoid those charges. Good luck with your auction
got $55 for the shorts even with the eBay fees and $6 shipping I came out way ahead of your laughable $25 offer. you do know that if you had just 'tried' and said... hey i see you have them at a starting price of $25 would you take $30 cash money today? I would of hit it.
That works both ways. I started at $25, your starting price. You could of have countered at $30. I sent you a pm thinking we could negotiate, but you chose not to respond. I'm sorry my offer, your starting point, was laughable to you. No worries though, I purchased else where.
last of the stuff that didn't sell. will accept offers... meaning somewhere between my starting price and buy it now price as to avoid any butt-hurt feelings. http://www.ebay.com/sch/wrm4865/m.h...ame=STRK:MESE:IT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
exactly where are you getting the $20K number from? and...I'll gladly take Last 31 days $11,594.86 from selling a bunch of stuff I no longer use or need and sell off two six year old bikes. BTW I still have more crap to unload so add another $500-$600 to that number. Having a new bike cash in pocket is much better than looking a bikes I no longer ride and boxes of stuff I no longer use.
You do know any tangible asset will lose value over a period of time? I think it's called depreciation. I choose to live in realityville and realize the bikes I purchased in 2012 have lost somewhat of their value over the last 5 years of use as technology has marched on same for the other odds and ends I've recently let go that I no longer use or need. Personally I think my ROI (return on investment) is pretty damn good on approx $16K worth of bikes in 2013 and then other assorted bike stuff and clothing maybe added up another $2K (Assos stuff is pricey), therefore on approx $18K worth of new bikes/merchandise over the last five years I'm looking recouping almost $12K that's appox a loss of 25% of it's value. I'm still not seeing how I'm coming up short on the deal? I got a new $9300 bike + $900 powermeter out of the deal a new Assos T.Campionssimo_S7 Kit and a new Garmin 520 computer, paid for eBay/PayPal fees and still a little cash in my pocket for selling a bunch of crap I had laying around collecting dust. Who knows perhaps i'm an Idiot suit yourself.
