Sure you can. I made the trip, rode the full, and came home all in one day last year. It is possible! Do it, you won't regret it!

The CG "field limit" is a joke.
Everyone that was on the waiting list was let in.

There appears to be a doper in the field.

I advise not much dwelling on it. He's there to have a fun challenge just like the rest of us.

I'm not one of the haters. I think he got sucked into when he was young and doping was the norm. It became a way of life. And being such an extreme competitor, he set out to do it better than anyone else. I think he is truly sorry for how he treated some folks. I think he'd come out with more info but it would implicate and damage others, which he doesn't want to do.

I really enjoyed watching him on the Tour.

Hey IBt, I usually don't like a damb thing you post, but this is pretty good. So far anyway. At least the 15 minutes I've watched so far.

Not a hater, but certainly not a fan, but while it has been shown that nearly every other successful rider of the era used some form of PEDs, LA was the only one to sue each and every detractor. Most could ill afford being in the cross hairs of his legal team, and as a result, had their reputations and in many cases, life savings wiped out as a result! Lance started with nothing and if the government prevails in its lawsuit, I hope he ends up with nothing, as that might make him better appreciate how difficult things were for folks after the legal eagles were done with them. People like Betsy and Franky Andreu, or Emma O'reilly who as the first female soigneur in the pro peloton, was publicly defamed when Armstrong called her an alcoholic sleep-about, while she was coping with the progressive onset of multiple sclerosis.

Wow! It really got to me when he talked about how this affected his kids. He may not show it like we think he should but I think there's a lot of regret. He was very stoic in his interview with O. But I think I would have been the same way. Matter of fact. Tears aren't for O and the public.

I'm pretty sure he tried to contact all of those folks. Not all of them accepted his attempts. Very understandable. As a Christian, I don't wish him any ill will or pain and suffering. I only wish for him repentance and for those he damaged to recover, live in peace, and to not live every day with hate in their hearts. And I wish for his family to not suffer for his sins.
